Society
Social Order: Society is organized by what becomes acceptable and unacceptable. One of the greatest dangers society faces is the erosion of social order through the introduction and acceptance of immoral behavior. When a culture compromises its moral foundation, the consequences are far-reaching and detrimental. Throughout history, we witness how the acceptance and normalization of immorality lead to the decay of social structures and the disintegration of kingdoms, empires, tribes and communities. In the account of Sodom and Gomorrah, we see a stark example of how a society can descend into evil when immorality becomes the prevailing norm. The inhabitants of these cities openly embraced wickedness, engaging in vile practices that were an abomination in the eyes of God. Their disregard for God’s moral standards ultimately led to their destruction. Today, we observe similar patterns emerging within our own societies. Immoral behavior is increasingly embraced and even celebrated, with a pervasive disregard for God’s design and purpose for human life. As followers of Christ, we are called to stand firm in upholding biblical values, even when they clash with prevailing cultural trends. We must not be swayed by the shifting sands of societal opinion but remain anchored in the unchanging truth of God’s Word. A great failure the church can make at these dire times is to acquiesce to evil and profane behavior under the guise of love. While it is essential to show love and compassion to all people, we must not compromise the truth and righteousness that God has revealed to us. A major tipping point of social order occurs when the church itself becomes a participant in the acceptance of immoral behavior. When we condone or endorse actions that are contrary to God’s Word, we contribute to the decay of society and its moral fabric. As followers of Christ, we are called to be a prophetic voice, standing firm against the tide of immorality and boldly proclaiming the truth. Our mission is not merely to blend in with the crowd or conform to societal norms, but to be salt and light in a dark and decaying world. The church must be the opposite of the world not conforming to it. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” — Romans 12:2.
Inversion: Satan is the father of lies and his works are always in opposition to the works and laws of God. God says He created male and female and told us to be fruitful and multiply. “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” — Genesis 1:27–28. The inversion of this is to say there are no genders and we need to depopulate the earth. The inversion is to support abortion and to worship the land instead of God. It’s not hard to spot the works of the enemy as they are always anti-God. When these beliefs become the norm in a society it is on the path to destruction for they are the inversion of His ways. Satan is no longer hiding and making himself unknown. Satanic imagery is everywhere (media, entertainment, sports figures, politicians) and there is nothing subtle about it. It should cause alarm, but sadly it’s not. It has become the accepted norm. Vile behavior we thought would never be commonly accepted in society is now embraced. “What was Evil is now good and what was good is now evil. Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” — Isaiah 5:20. Inversion, just as the Bible says. This is the spirit of the anti-christ and it will only get much worse until there is a move of the spirit of God. Only revival and the Holy Spirit will truly change the hearts of people. Only a touch of God will douse the flames of immorality and save a multitude.
Welsh Revival: The Welsh Revival of 1904–1905 swept across the nation of Wales, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless individuals. What began as a fervent prayer movement soon erupted into a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit that would transform communities, churches, and individuals. During this remarkable period, the presence of God became tangibly evident as people from all walks of life experienced a profound encounter with the living God. Hearts were stirred, and a deep sense of conviction penetrated the hearts of men and women, leading to repentance and a hunger for righteousness. The impact of the Welsh Revival was profound and far-reaching, extending beyond the confines of church buildings and seeping into every aspect of society. As the revival spread, it brought about a significant transformation in the behavior and habits of the people. Social vices such as drunkenness, immorality, and gambling, which had once plagued the communities, were replaced with righteousness, sobriety, and genuine love for one another. People who had been bound by addictions and destructive lifestyles found deliverance and freedom in Christ. Families were reconciled, broken relationships were restored, and communities experienced a newfound unity and harmony. The fear of God gripped the hearts of the people, and they became more conscious of their actions, striving to live in accordance with His divine principles. One of the remarkable aspects of the Welsh Revival was the impact it had on young people. The youth, who were often considered a generation lost to worldly pursuits, became fervent seekers of God. Their passion for prayer, worship, and evangelism ignited a fire that spread throughout the nation, drawing multitudes to salvation in Jesus Christ. The Welsh Revival swept the rest of Britain, Scandinavia, parts of Europe, North America, the mission fields of India and the Orient, Africa and Latin America. It was the pure transformative power of the Holy Spirit. Doesn’t this sound like exactly what we need today! If you want to see evil defeated in our nation and a return to God, pray for revival. Do it again Lord!
In Him,
